  1. As soon as I saw the picture, I knew it was Mono Lake! Our #2 daughter worked there for two or three summers. I never went (Indiana to California is, as we say around where I grew up, a fer piece), but she showed us lots of pictures. πŸ™‚

  2. What a gorgeous picture of Mono Lake, Janis. It’s amazing to see the lake in so many colors over the seasons. I used to have the Save Mono Lake bumper sticker BITD, and even did a couple of college papers on it in the early 1980s. Glad it’s a national monument and LA isn’t killing it by taking all the water away from it.

  3. Magnificent! In our family, we often talk about how what we see in nature is there, as it is, for just a brief moment in time. The light changes, the clouds re-form and what you were looking at will never return in exactly the same way again. You captured a magical moment, Janis. Nicely done!
