I came upon this arrangement in the sand on a lonely, out-of-the-way beach in southern Hawaii. It made me wonder who it was intended for and whether they were present to receive its beautifully simple message.
Although the hammock has been battered by the wind and the waves, it was once the perfect oasis in which to spend a quiet afternoon embraced by the ocean and the warm breeze.
At the beach, life is different. Time doesn’t move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tide and follow the sun. Sandy Gingras
